Andy Murray received a wild card to compete in this month’s Cincinnati Masters.

The 34-year-old Briton withdrew from individual Olympics with a slight thigh strain to focus on the doubles category.

Andy Murray and Joe Salisbury lost in the quarter-finals in Tokyo 2020 on July 28.

The games in Cincinnati begin on August 14, before the US Open in New York kicks off on August 30.

Murray won at Cincinnati in 2008 and 2011, and he beat Alexander Zverev to reach the third round of last year’s tournament played in New York due to the coronavirus pandemic.
